Wardrobe Refashion: Denim Skirt

Objective: To refashion an ankle-length denim skirt into a calf-length maternity denim skirt.

1. Cut off the waistband, pockets and zipper, and sew in a maternity panel using an old cotton t-shirt. 2. Cut off 11.5 inches in length and sew the front slit closed. 3. Sew two straight lines and one zig-zag ’round the bottom of the skirt to keep excessive fraying at bay. Mission accomplished? Indeed.

Oh, and here’s one last parting shot of that 22-week baby belly.
