Because it is a safe assumption that we did circle time and free play–since we do it every day–I’m leaving it out from now on. And in keeping with the spirit of 15 Minutes Outside: 365 Ways to Get Out of the House and Connect with Your Kids by Rebecca Cohen, I’m doing my best to get these kiddos outdoors at least once a day!
Day 23 ~ Letter L
We read Llama Llama Red Pajama and Llama Llama Mad at Mama by Anna Dewdney, did a letter L “word” search, and tried to do a labyrinth. Is a maze too complex for a 3-year-old? Maybe so.
Day 24 ~ Letter L, Counting
We read “A List” from Frog and Toad Together by Arnold Lobel. We made our own lists, then took them shopping in our own farmers market! It was definitely the highlight of the day. The kids counted the foods they picked out, then counted the money (sort of) to pay for their food.
I should add that I found the play food to be severely lacking, so added some of my own. How can one go shopping and not come home with butter?
