Preschool ~ Days 33-34

Day 33 ~ Sidewalk Paint & A Picnic

After we mixed up some sidewalk paint, we headed outdoors to enjoy the unseasonable warmth. First we swept, then we painted, then we hopscotched, then we picnicked.

Sidewalk Paint

  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 4 tbsp. water
  • 6-8 drops food coloring

I recommend doubling the recipe—we made one “batch” per child, and it went too quickly!

Day 34 ~ Q is for Q-tips

I had originally envisioned making the letter Q out of q-tips, but I didn’t force the issue; the kids had more fun just haphazardly gluing q-tips on the paper and telling me stories about what they were doing: “This is a parking lot for my cars.” They also had fun talking about the letter Q: “Q is a like O with a tail” and “Q is O with a cape.” Once again, after our craft we spent the rest of our time outside and had another picnic. Yay, sunshine!
